Greetings my fellow Adventurers!
After yesterday’s long walk, we spent a day exploring for a rest. We stopped off at a couple of historic monuments (more on those later) and then drove to a few stops up the coast. We had a closer look at the top of the Dee River again, and then Talacre beach (more mud than sand – it reminded me of Weston-super-Mare!) and the Point of Ayr Lighthouse.
The beach was actually quite interesting, you could some the extensive off-shore wind-farms and a lot of boats heading into the harbor further down the coast. The RAF even put in an appearance when a BAE haek from RAF Valley flew over.
After touring we drove deeper into Wales to our next hotel where, amazingly, we didn’t have any wine!
Until Tomorrow my Friends!
So far, so good then by the sound of it. Hopefully any rain forecast will pass through during the night tomorrow

Thanks Malc!
I think it’s supposed to be warmer here tomorrow – Not sure about the rain but we’ll make the most of it even if we get it.

What! No wine! What kind of trip is this? You better make up for it on the next chapter.

Oh we will! (We did actually buy a bottle today even if we didn’t drink it) đ

I like the lighthouse, looks a great place for a visit.

It’s a bit of a ‘kiss me quick hat’ area, but the actual landscape is actually very nice. There are a lot of RSPB reserves around here so I’m betting they get a lot of waders in the winter.

There used to be a RSPB hide at Point of Air although it’s probably not the best time of year for birds on the beach.

lol! I just mentioned that in another comment. I’m not sure if the hide is still there, but there are still a lot of reserves.
